I would venture it would boil down to budget and preference in case size, I couldn't fault any of the your options outright. This is an homage to the classic 5 digit Submariner Date, with very similarly style lugs, case, etc. The sapphire crystal is in immaculate condition and the ceramic bezel as well. For sale today is a Squale Y1545 Submariner homage. So good in fact I just ordered one of the GMT versions as well (I'm a sucker for the GMT complication). Condition is excellent, watch has been in use for a good year or so and has some desk diving marks on the clasp of the bracelet. I own the Steinhart Ocean 1 with the ceramic bezel insert, it has proven a very good beater diver. The Steinhart does lack a divers extension in the buckle (used when wearing over a wetsuit, useless otherwise) so there is that. Stainless steel, Saphire crystal and an ETA 2824-2 movement. The basic parts are there across the board. It has a 40mm case, so more like the O and W vs the Steinhart in size. I have no knowledge of the Squale directly, but it appears very similar to the other options. It certainly is larger than a true Sub clone, but not too large on my 7.5" wrist. The Steinhart watches are a touch larger at 42mm vs 39.5mm. Size is dead on, might fit your wrist better than a larger watch. The flat box that the watch comes in, with its folding watch wrap is a bit on the boring side. The Ollech and Wajs is basically a straight clone to the Sub. My other issue is that the polished case is a total scratch magnet. The bezel has a metallic look, and combined with its polished case and jubilee bracelet, it looks phenomenal! The dimensions are just that little bit smaller than I would have expected. It’s not like your average Pepsi bezel Watch. The wonderful jubilee bracelet is one of the best I’ve come across, and doesn’t pull all the hair out of your wrist, which is a big plus point! It is the overall look of this watch that is the real winner though, it is a really beautiful watch. Overall, the size of the Squale 30 Atmos GMT 1545 is fine for the majority of the watch community though. I personally preferred the 42mm size case. Although it seems that Squale eventually listened to customers requesting a 40mm GMT. The previous 30 Atmos watches were all 42mm and were a perfect fit for me. I love Squale as a company and this watch is a stunner! But I do have some issues with the watch. First of all, I need to let you know something.
